(Picture taken by Alex Lewandowski.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/about\/our-home\/keck-center\/gci\/index.aspx\">Grand Challenges Initiative<\/a> hosted an engaging and insightful Speaker Series event on <strong>Monday, March 16<\/strong>, featuring<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/prashanthasuri\/\">Prashanth Asuri, Ph.D., M.B.A.<\/a><\/strong>, Chair and Professor of Bioengineering at Santa Clara University. Held in the Ideation Zone, the session brought together students and faculty interested in the intersection of bioengineering, industry collaboration, and societal impact.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Asuri drew from his extensive experience leading externally sponsored research and directing the Healthcare Innovation and Design program to illustrate how engineering education can extend far beyond the classroom.
