Jennifer Bevan, Ph.D., professor, Department of Communication Sciences, Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, was the invited guest editor for the special issue of the journal Argumentation and Advocacy (2015, Volume 52, Issue 1), focusing on the 30th anniversary of research on serial argument in interpersonal relationships. Bevan contributed the introduction, as well as oversaw the publication process of the six invited and submitted, peer-reviewed manuscripts included in the issue.

Donald Guy, associate professor of entertainment technology, College of Performing Arts, was the lighting designer for the Saint Louis Ballet concert titled “In It For Love.” Concert featured world premiere choreography from Brian Enos (Hubbard Street and Houston Ballet), Christopher d’Amboise (New York City Ballet Principal Dancer), and Saint Louis Ballet’s Artistic Director Gen Horiuchi (New York City Ballet Principal Dancer and star of CATS on Broadway and London’s West End).

Jennifer Hahn-Holbrook, Ph.D., assistant professor, Department of Psychology, Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences, was featured in a Psychology Today article titled The Myth of the Glowing New Mother: Postpartum depression is real, and linked to the challenges of modern life.

Erik Linstead, Ph.D., participated in a panel sponsored by the American Statistical Association at Cal State Fullerton on the topic of Data Scientist versus Statistician – What are the differences? on March 5. Other panelists included representatives from Google, the Los Angeles Times and Johnson & Johnson.

Yuhua (Jake) Liang, Ph.D., assistant professor, and Kirk F. Kee, Ph.D., assistant professor, both of the Department of Communication Studies, Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, were among the authors on an accepted paper titled Running out of Water! Developing a Message Typology and Evaluating Message Effects on Attitude toward Water Conservation for the journal Environmental Communication.
