In honor of Mila Page’s (1920-2020) birthday today, we invite you to explore the Leopold and Ludmila Page collection<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mila and daughter, Marie Knecht, at the opening of the Oskar Schindler Archive<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Mila Page<\/a> (Ludmila Pfefferberg) and her husband, Leopold Page<\/a> (Poldek Pfefferberg), survived the Holocaust with help from Oskar Schindler.<\/a> We received their collection in 2022, which contains primarily news media documenting the public reception of Thomas Kennelly’s book Schindler’s Ark<\/em><\/a>, published in 1982, and Steven Spielberg’s film Schindler’s List<\/em><\/a>, released in 1993. The Pages were instrumental in bringing the Schindler story to the world, and their collection shows their concern with the Schindler legacy as it was left to the rest of us to decide.<\/p>\n
