Encompassing almost 3,670 acres, it is one of the largest municipal parks in the United States. 2005 marks the centennial of the park\u2019s original gift of pristine California countryside by the Bidwell family, Chico\u2019s founders, for the \u201cpleasure of the people of said city for all time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Note: This episode was released across Public Broadcasting Service&#8217;s (PBS) affiliated stations in California, but not necessarily on the same day for each station.
