{"id":121,"date":"2016-03-14T16:57:02","date_gmt":"2016-03-14T23:57:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogschapman.wpenginepowered.com\/information-systems\/2016\/03\/14\/chapman-partners-with-modo-labs-for-university-mobile-app\/"},"modified":"2016-03-14T16:57:02","modified_gmt":"2016-03-14T23:57:02","slug":"chapman-partners-with-modo-labs-for-university-mobile-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/information-systems\/2016\/03\/14\/chapman-partners-with-modo-labs-for-university-mobile-app\/","title":{"rendered":"Chapman Partners With Modo Labs For University Mobile App"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chapman University IS&amp;T recently announced that they have partnered with Modo Labs to provide the technology framework for Chapman University&#8217;s official mobile app.\u00a0By selecting Modo Labs as our mobile app framework, Chapman is joining\u00a0some of the most recognizable names in American universities including Harvard, Princeton, Notre Dame, and NYU who are already using the Modo framework for their university apps.<\/p>\n<p>The selection of Modo Labs brings to a close a multi-year effort to evaluate university and departmental needs for a mobile app. Chapman IS&amp;T, in collaboration with Strategic Marketing, Chapman Alumni Board, and other administrative groups provided valuable input which lead to the selection of Modo Labs.<\/p>\n<p>The Chapman mobile app is scheduled to be released later this year and will bring\u00a0many\u00a0of the features that are currently spread out across the Chapman website into one easy to use package at the tip of your fingers. Features scheduled to be included in the first version\u00a0of the mobile app include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Campus News<\/li>\n<li>Event Calendar<\/li>\n<li>Social Feeds<\/li>\n<li>Campus Directory<\/li>\n<li>Campus Maps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is just a small sample\u00a0of what is possible with the app. The Modo Labs framework\u00a0will also allow Chapman to add additional modules and features incrementally, and will allow for seasonal events such as commencement and homecoming. Chapman\u00a0IS&amp;T will continue to provide information on additional features scheduled to be included in the first release.
