As a result, the Chapman community will have to reduce its storage consumption across various accounts, such as Google Drive and Google Photos.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The following table describes a list of expected major changes to Google services:<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The creation of new Shared Drives has been disabled<\/li>\n<li>Active students will receive a 15 GB storage quota \u2013 July 2022<\/li>\n<li>Faculty and staff will receive a 40 GB storage quota \u2013 July 2022<\/li>\n<li>Shared drive owners will be notified to download or move data \u2013 April 2023<\/li>\n<li>Shared drives owned by Alumni\/Former Students will be deleted \u2013 July 2023<\/li>\n<li>Shared drive owners owned by active students will be deleted \u2013 August 2023<\/li>\n<li>Alums will have access to Google removed one year, post-graduation \u2013 Starting Fall 2022<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">We will proceed with quota implementation soon, which is not expected to be immediately impactful. IS&amp;T will temporarily allow those currently over to exceed the new limits and will contact them separately.<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We recommend that you transfer your files to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/campus-services\/information-systems\/software\/microsoft-office-365\/index.aspx\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Microsoft OneDrive<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, due to its simple integration with the rest of Microsoft&#8217;s ecosystem and the amount of storage offered to each user, which is 5 terabytes. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Moreover, if you are a Canvas user who likes to add live documents to your courses and if you have more than 40 gigabytes of content in your Google Drive, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/community.canvaslms.com\/t5\/Instructor-Guide\/How-do-I-view-my-Microsoft-Office-365-files-in-Canvas-as-an\/ta-p\/1143\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Microsoft OneDrive<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> can be a viable option.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">All affected users will receive communication in advance of the anticipated implementation dates.
