Dear Chapman community,<\/span><\/p>\n

A few years ago, we introduced a tool called <\/span>ZoomDownloader<\/span><\/a> to transfer Zoom cloud meeting recordings to your individual OneDrive account. <\/span>The tool will now be retired on Friday, August 18<\/span><\/b>th<\/span><\/b>, 2023. <\/span><\/b>You <\/span>must take alternative action to retain your Zoom recordings past the 120-day expiration if you previously utilized this tool for recording retention.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why is the tool being retired?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Large volumes of recorded meetings take up valuable storage space and can lead to increased infrastructure costs. \u00a0\u00a0We recommend manually saving recordings to OneDrive or YuJa as needed rather than retaining all recordings.<\/span><\/p>\n

What will happen to my past Zoom recordings in OneDrive?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Any Zoom recordings in your OneDrive will remain in the Zoom Cloud Recordings folder. New Zoom recordings will not automatically appear in the folder after August 18<\/span>th<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Zoom meeting recordings saved to your local computer or manually to OneDrive are not affected by this change.<\/span><\/p>\n

How do I save my Zoom cloud recordings in the future?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

We currently have a 120-day (about four months) Zoom retention policy for <\/span>Zoom cloud recordings<\/span><\/a>. You can access, manage, or download your Zoom cloud recordings during this <\/span>period.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you like to auto-download your Zoom cloud recordings to YuJa, you can enable Zoom integration in YuJa by following<\/span> YuJa’s<\/span> step-by-step<\/span><\/a> directions. If you are a Canvas user, please <\/span>watch this video<\/span><\/a> to learn how to enable the YuJa and Zoom integration through your Canvas account. To enable the Zoom integration to YuJa, you need to log in at https:\/\/video.chapman.edu<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
