Ever run into the issue where you are trying to call your friend or classmate and you can\u2019t get any cell reception?\u00a0 Try Wi-Fi calling!<\/p>\n<p>Over the past several months, Chapman University and the Information Systems and Technology team have been making significant upgrades to the campus Wi-Fi services.\u00a0 As a result, the Wi-Fi services can now support Wi-Fi calling.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>How does it work?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With \u201cwireless\u201d or \u201cWi-Fi\u201d calling, users will need to connected to a Wi-Fi network in order for the service to be available.\u00a0 Similar to Skype, Facebook messenger, and Google Hangouts, this feature will allow users to be able to make calls almost anywhere in the world as long as they are connected to a Wi-Fi network.<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/information-systems\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/68\/2016\/09\/maxresdefault.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-331 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/information-systems\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/68\/2016\/09\/maxresdefault.jpg\" alt=\"Smart phone Wi-Fi calling\" width=\"406\" height=\"228\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>How do I activate my Wi-Fi calling service?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>iPhone<\/u>: (6, 6s, 6s Plus, 7, 7 Plus\u00ad)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to the <strong>Settings App<\/strong>&gt; <strong>Phone<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Wi-Fi Calling<\/strong> &gt; turn <strong>ON<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Android<\/u>: (Samsung S6 &amp; S6 Edge)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to the <strong>Settings App<\/strong> &gt;
