We’re excited to announce an important update that will improve how we access Zoom. To strengthen Chapman University’s security and streamline your login experience, starting 5\/28\/25, we will require<\/strong> Single Sign-On (SSO)<\/strong>\u00a0for all Zoom accounts at Chapman University.<\/p>\n

Why SSO?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Security and convenience are crucial in today’s digital workplace. Requiring SSO with Zoom offers several key benefits:<\/p>\n

    \nSSO reduces the risk of data breaches by eliminating the need to remember multiple passwords. By using your secure company credentials to log in, we ensure better control over access and mitigate the risks associated with weak or reused passwords.<\/li>\n
  2. Simplified User Experience<\/strong>
    \nWith SSO, you’ll only need one set of login credentials to access Zoom and other connected platforms. Say goodbye to password resets and juggling multiple accounts!<\/li>\n
  3. Compliance and Control<\/strong>
    \nSSO ensures compliance with IT policies by centralizing access management. It also allows us to revoke access for former employees, safeguarding sensitive information instantly.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How Will This Work?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    SSO uses your existing Chapman University email and password to log in to Zoom. Instead of creating or managing a separate Zoom password, you’ll authenticate through our centralized system.<\/p>\n

    Logging Into Zoom with SSO<\/strong><\/p>\n

    For Desktop or Mobile:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      2. Click\u00a0SSO<\/strong> (not your email, Google, or other options)\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
      3. Enter your Chapman University email address\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n
      4. You’ll be redirected to Chapman University’s login page. Enter your regular credentials (email and password).<\/li>\n
      5. Once authenticated, you’ll be logged into Zoom!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
