We will be transitioning to a <\/span><\/span>mandatory update of Windows 11 on <\/span>Tuesday<\/span>,<\/span> 8\/5\/25<\/span><\/span><\/strong>. <\/span><\/strong>The update will download automatically during th<\/span>e hours of 10 <\/span>pm-6 am, and after it has been downloaded, <\/span><\/span>you wil<\/span>l <\/span>need to <\/span>rest<\/span>art your <\/span>computer <\/span>after five calendar days (i<\/span>f deferred for that long).<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Users can proactively check for Windows updates and reboot their device when prompted,<\/span> following the Windows 11 download.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To check if Windows 11 is ready for a device<\/strong>, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Right-click the Start menu<\/strong>\u00a0and select Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. In the Windows Update <\/strong>window that opens, select the Check for updates<\/strong>\u00a0button.
