From drafting content and summarizing information to streamlining workflows and supporting decision-making, AI is no longer a future concept;\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0a present-day tool. Recognizing this shift, Chapman University Information Systems &amp; Technology (IS&amp;T) launched the\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">AI Ambassadors Program<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, a pilot initiative designed to help our campus prepare for\u00a0what\u2019s\u00a0next.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The result? A growing community of staff equipped with practical AI skills, a shared language around responsible use, and a roadmap for expanding AI education across the university.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">AI Ambassadors Program<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0was a\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">12-week training initiative<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0that ran from\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">October 2025 through January 2026<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, bringing together IS&amp;T staff in a collaborative, hands-on learning environment. The program focused on building\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">AI literacy<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">practical skills<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, and\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">confidence<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0in using Chapman-approved AI tools responsibly in everyday work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Participants met\u00a0<strong>bi<\/strong><\/span><strong>\u2011weekly\u00a0in\u00a0hybrid s<\/strong><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">essions<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0that blended instruction, discussion, and experimentation. These projects\u00a0showcased\u00a0practical,\u00a0immediately\u00a0functional solutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Beyond individual skill building<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, the AI Ambassadors Program fostered a\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">cross-team community of practice<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Participants shared ideas, tested tools together, asked questions, and learned from one another during sessions and in ongoing discussions.
