Fowler School of Law\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/law\/competitions\/index.aspx\">competition boards<\/a> participated in two competitions last weekend: the National Juvenile Moot Court Competition and the National Trial Competition.<\/p>\n<p>At the National Juvenile Law Moot Court Competition at Whittier Law School, two teams \u2013 Sumangala Bhattacharya (JD \u201917) and Laura Lopez (JD \u201917), and Caitlin Ramsey (JD \u201917) and Susan Nikdel (JD \u201917) \u2013 advanced to quarterfinals. Caitlin and Susan made it to the semifinals before losing a hotly contested round to a team from Oklahoma. Cailtin and Susan won the title of Best Brief, and Sumangala was recognized as the 8th Place Advocate after the preliminary rounds.<\/p>\n<p>At the National Trial Competition in San Diego, Marcus Sweetser (JD \u201916), Breanne Reese (JD \u201916) and Kristen Hayes (JD \u201917) advanced to the quarterfinal round.
