Fowler School of Law third year student Regina Zernay (JD \u201917) has been selected as an adjunct fellow for the libertarian think tank Niskanen Center, where she is responsible for producing content on intellectual property and copyright law for the organization\u2019s blog. Her first article, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/niskanencenter.org\/blog\/quest-automated-copyright-enforcement\/\">The Quest for Automated Copyright Enforcement<\/a>,\u201d was published in October. \u00a0Zernay was offered the fellowship after submitting material at the recommendation of Fowler Law Professor Tom Bell, with whom she was working on a paper regarding the same topic for the <em>Chapman Law Review<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Zernay\u2019s interest in intellectual property and copyright stems largely from her background as a professional musician. Before beginning law school, she enjoyed a successful career as a touring artist with New Orleans band Cowboy Mouth and artist CeeLo Green. After law school, she hopes to help fellow musicians navigate the rapidly-changing music industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI entered law school because I wanted the opportunity to help others,\u201d she said. \u201cMany people have helped me along the way, and I\u2019d like to pay it forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to serving as an adjunct fellow with the center, Zernay is a legal intern at Amezcua-Moll &amp; Associates, an Orange County employment law firm started by Chapman alumna Rosemary Amezcua-Moll (\u201999).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/niskanencenter.org\/blog\/quest-automated-copyright-enforcement\/\">Read Regina\u2019s full article<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chapman University Dale E.
