Fowler School of Law Professor Michael Bazyler\u2019s book <em>Holocaust, Genocide, and the Law: A Quest for Justice in a Post-Holocaust World <\/em>has received top honors by the Jewish Book Council, winning the prestigious National Jewish Book Award in the Holocaust category.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProfessor Bazyler is internationally-known as a legal expert in the field of Holocaust studies. This book is the latest in a series of important contributions to this crucial area of study. We are thrilled that his well-deserving book received this high recognition and award from the Jewish Book Council,\u201d Dean Matt Parlow said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/law\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2017\/01\/bazyler-holocaust-and-law.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-12113\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-12113\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/law\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2017\/01\/bazyler-holocaust-and-law.jpg\" alt=\"holocaust and the law book cover\" width=\"150\" height=\"228\" \/><\/a>The award-winning book examines the background of the Holocaust and genocide through the prism of the law; the criminal and civil prosecution of the Nazis and their collaborators for Holocaust-era crimes; and contemporary attempts to criminally prosecute perpetrators for the crime of genocide.
