Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law is pleased to announce the addition of Robert E. Murdock to its distinguished Board of Advisors. Murdock is an attorney in Las Vegas, Nevada who represents victims of catastrophic loss. He founded his firm, Murdock & Associates in 1992, and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in the states of Nevada, Utah, Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. Murdock is also part of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and was recently selected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am eager to have a chance to work with luminaries in the legal profession as well as Dean Matt Parlow. He has brought incredible and palpable excitement to the law school. I will bring my experience as a lawyer and my experience as a father too, as my daughter is a 1L student,\u201d Murdock said. \u201cI am hopeful that I will be able to assist the other board members in continuing to advance the Fowler School of Law to its rightful place among the top law schools in the country.\u201d<\/p>\n
Murdock is the father of current Fowler School of Law student, Sydney Murdock (JD \u201919), a \u201cDouble Panther\u201d who graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. degree in Religious Studies and a minor in Peace Studies from Chapman University in 2016.<\/p>\n
Over the years, Murdock has earned a reputation for being a lawyer who fights hard for his clients. His cases have frequently been highlighted in Las Vegas and national newspapers, broadcast news, and Court TV. His efforts have provided just compensation for his clients, and, in some circumstances, his work has resulted in changes in the law to protect those in need.<\/p>\n
Murdock attended the University of Denver for his undergraduate studies and earned his JD at Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He regularly teaches seminars on a range of litigation topics including evidentiary issues, discovery matters, and trial techniques.<\/p>\n
