Wins Award for Mediation Education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chapman is honored to have received the Louise Otis Award for Excellence in Mediation Education at the International Competition for Mediation Advocacy (ICMA, formerly CNMAC) in Toronto.&#xA0;&#xA0; The award is in recognition of a superior commitment to the&#xA0;integration of&#xA0;mediation&#xA0;and advocacy skills&#xA0;into&#xA0;legal education.&#xD;<br \/>\n&#xD;<br \/>\nThe ICMA focuses on acknowledging and evaluating mediation advocacy skills that demonstrate commitment to addressing the resolution, prevention, or creative management of clients&#x2019; disputes.&#xA0; &#xA0;All international law schools registered at ICMA were eligible for this award.&#xA0; In assessing whether a law school&#xA0;should be granted recognition, the judges for&#xA0;the 2012&#xA0;Louise Otis Award for Excellence in Mediation&#xA0;Education&#xA0;considered several&#xA0;hallmarks of excellence.&#xD;<br \/>\n&#xD;<br \/>\nThis is a great honor for Chapman and its mediation program.&#xA0; Congratulations to mediation director Professor Dowling and the students who have participated in the Mediation Clinic.&#xD;<br \/>\n&#xD;<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1868\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1868\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><br \/>\n<a
