Kennedy Chair John Eastman following the Red Mass. Every year the Society hosts the Red Mass, a tradition in the Catholic legal community that dates back to 1245, when a special mass was held for the Bench and Bar to remind lawyers and judges alike of the important roles they play in the pursuit of justice.
