At the American Association for Justice Trial Advocacy Competition, Chapman\u2019s team of Luigi Monteleone, Michael Delaney, Joel Griffith, and Jeremy Katz finished 6th overall out of 15 teams. For the second year in a row, Chapman\u2019s Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition team made the “sweet 16″ <\/em>at this a large and prestigious competition.\u00a0 The team was Alex Brewsaugh, Adam Luetto, and Jessica Blair.\u00a0For the second year in a row, Chapman\u2019s ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition team is going to national finals and for the first time ever, we got both teams into the semifinal round.\u00a0 The team of Katia Benthale, Rob Webster, and Matt Wechter will be traveling to Chicago next month for the nationals.\u00a0 Katia also earned an individual award as the Third Place Advocate.\u00a0 The team of Sarah Mitchell, Arlinda Witko, and Brandon Sylvia (brief writer) unfortunately lost in the semi-final round to a team from Texas Wesleyan that eventually earned a place at the national finals.\u00a0 This is one of the largest and most\u00a0prestigious moot court competitions in the country, with 178 teams competing at the regional level, and only 24 teams earning places at the national finals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
