The magazine has also included Chapman&#x2019;s Kennedy Hall as one of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationaljurist.com\/content\/best-law-buildings-55-make-honor-roll\" target=\"_blank\">Best law buildings<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#xD;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>JD\/MFA in Film &amp; Television Producing Degree Program<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-8344\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/law\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2014\/09\/law-and-film-for-blog.jpg\" alt=\"law-and-film-for-blog\" width=\"400\" height=\"266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/law\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2014\/09\/law-and-film-for-blog.jpg 400w, https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/law\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2014\/09\/law-and-film-for-blog-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n&#xD;<br \/>\nLocated in the heart of Southern California and its thriving entertainment industry, Fowler School of Law, in conjunction with Chapman&#8217;s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, is proud to offer the first fully integrated JD\/MFA in Film &amp; Television<br \/>\n<em><strong>&#xA0;<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nProducing program in the country.&#xD;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The JD degree allows students to gain insights into the legal workings of the entertainment industry from experienced legal professionals whose combined work includes representing and advising major motion picture companies, drafting music industry contracts, and executive producing feature films. The MFA in Producing allows students to study the fundamentals of film production (including writing, directing, cinematography, post-production, and sound) that culminates into a personally produced thesis film or media production.<\/p>\n<p>&#xD;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em><strong> Entertainment Law Clinic<\/strong><\/em>&#xD;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-8348\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/law\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2014\/09\/entertinament-law-clinic-on-red-carpet-for-blog.jpg\" alt=\"entertinament-law-clinic-on-red-carpet-for-blog\" width=\"300\" height=\"232\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/law\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2014\/09\/entertinament-law-clinic-on-red-carpet-for-blog.jpg 350w, https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/law\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2014\/09\/entertinament-law-clinic-on-red-carpet-for-blog-300x232.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The Fowler School of Law also offers the Entertainment Law Clinic, which provides students with a unique opportunity to work directly with independent filmmakers and to serve as production legal counsel for a feature length motion picture. Under the supervision of the faculty, participating students set up corporations or LLCs, file for copyrights, and draft all production-related contracts and documents including crew, actors, and locations agreements for real clients.<\/p>\n<p>&#xD;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em><strong> Entertainment Law Emphasis Program<\/strong><\/em>&#xD;<br \/>\nFowler School of Law students may also elect to pursue a specialty certificate by participating in the Entertainment Law Emphasis Program. The first and only program of its kind in the United States taught by faculty members with sizable industry experience provides students with expert knowledge of the legal aspects of the entertainment business, including intellectual property rights, entertainment contract negotiations, and licensing. Additionally, the school&#x2019;s proximity to Hollywood and Southern California&#x2019;s business market, which enhances Chapman&#x2019;s commitment to train students to compete in the entertainment industry, offers untold opportunities for practical experience and networking.<\/p>\n<p>&#xD;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em><strong>&#xD;<br \/>\nKennedy Hall Building<\/strong><\/em>&#xD;<br \/>\nThe law school&#x2019;s Kennedy Hall is located on the beautiful 42-acre Chapman University campus, in the heart of charming and historic Old Towne in Orange, California. The modern four-story building offers an efficient and comfortable learning environment for law students. The structure incorporates the latest technology in an architecturally stunning design. Classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology for enhanced teaching and learning, and are capable of accommodating future changes in electronic, visual and on-site learning.
