This fall, Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law celebrated the naming of the Fritzie G. Williams Lecture Hall in honor of Fritzie Williams and her continued generosity to the law school. Fritzie recently donated $1 million in support of the Fowler School of Law.

\nFritzie has been a supporter of the law school from the beginning. In 1995, she provided the
\nfirst law school endowment<\/a>
\n – $250,000 for the Frank L. Williams Professorship of Criminal Law. The gift was made in honor of her husband, Frank L. Williams Jr., former head of the Orange County public defender’s office who died in 1981. <\/p>\n

“The unbroken generosity of Fritzie Williams since the law school opened in 1995 has fueled the success of our law students. The naming of the Fritzie G. Williams Lecture Hall provides a permanent reminder of the woman who always had faith in our vision.” – Tom Campbell, Dean of the Fowler School of Law<\/p><\/blockquote>\n


\nDuring a reception in her honor, Chapman University President Jim Doti said, “She has what I call verve, spirit and charisma. She brightens any room.” The same sentiment is shared by all Chapman University staff, faculty and students who have met Fritzie.
