Our STEM Librarian, Dr. Elaine Yeung, designed this workshop series to introduce students, staff, and faculty to fundamental coding concepts in R.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">R programming is a powerful tool that can propel efficiency and effectiveness in analyzing complex statistical analyses while producing high-quality data visualizations. Whether you are a beginner or looking to improve your programming skills, these workshops will provide an overview of R programming fundamentals and best practices that everyone will find helpful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">*No prior programming knowledge is required for these workshops. However, it is recommended to attend all three workshops, as each session will build on information covered throughout the series.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Workshop 1 \u2013 Intro to R Programming<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Join us for an interactive workshop covering the basics of R and RStudio. Participants will get an overview of R syntax, the RStudio interface, data structures in R, importing datasets, and saving work in R.
