By the end of 2025, all federal agencies will require funded researchers to make both their resulting <\/span><strong>publications\u00a0<\/strong>and the underlying\u00a0<strong>data<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>open access\u00a0(or publicly available)\u00a0at the time of publication.\u00a0Our librarians are here to\u00a0point\u00a0researchers to resources and services to help them navigate this\u00a0funder\u00a0landscape,\u00a0understand what is required by their grants,\u00a0and fulfill those obligations.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Open Access and Data Sharing Mandates LibGuide<\/h3>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We have prepared a comprehensive\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.chapman.edu\/sharing_mandates\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Open Access and Data Sharing Mandates LibGuide<\/span><\/b><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> that breaks down the requirements for sharing open access manuscripts and associated data for each federal funding agency, as well as several non-governmental organizations and funders. This guide provides an overview of each agency\u2019s unique requirements, including whether an agency requires researchers to make their manuscripts open access in a designated repository or with a specific license, or if certain provisions must be addressed in a data management and sharing plan.
