Students with dyslexia often experience difficulties with both oral and written other language skills, such as writing and pronouncing words.\u00a0Dyslexia affects every person differently and with varying severity. Though not a disease, it is important to spread awareness and information on dyslexia.<\/p>\n<p>With October being Dyslexia Awareness Month, the Leatherby Libraries has put together a display case\u00a0in the lobby as well as honors the <a href=\"https:\/\/events.chapman.edu\/20295\">2nd Annual Dyslexia Summit, &#8220;Cognitive Diversity Conference: Embracing Difference&#8221;<\/a> occurring\u00a0later this month. Materials covering informational texts and empowerment plans, memoirs and practitioner&#8217;s handbooks, are all pulled\u00a0from within our own libraries. The next time you walk across the lobby, make sure to take a look at the display behind the reference desk to learn more about dyslexia!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1684\"
