Leatherby Libraries staff really came together for the day itself, though, with costumes and an entry into the campus-wide <a href=\"https:\/\/news.chapman.edu\/2019\/11\/04\/pumpkin-pageant-pomp-staff-come-together-for-a-spooky-start-to-halloween\/\">Panther Pumpkin Pageant<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4901\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4901\" style=\"width: 580px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2019\/11\/1031190857.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4901\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2019\/11\/1031190857.jpg\" alt=\"Three decorated pumpkins sitting on a table\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4901\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Left to right: Hedwig, Harry, and the Monster Book of Monsters<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Our entry into the contest was Harry Potter-themed, with the central pumpkin carved simplistically to evoke Harry&#8217;s iconic glasses and scar, with smaller pumpkins on each side decorated as Hedwig, Harry&#8217;s owl, and the Monster Book of Monsters. After all, we are the library &#8211; how could we\u00a0<em>not<\/em> include a book?!? We even got some canine representation, with Sunshine (and her person Laurie Gates Cussalli) showing up in full punk gear, inspired by the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/library\/2019\/08\/20\/kids-of-the-black-hole-the-first-two-decades-of-punk-in-orange-county\/\">&#8220;Kids of the Black Hole: The First Two Decades of Punk in Orange County&#8221;<\/a> exhibit currently on display in the Frank Mt.
