Beginning Friday, October 22nd, at 3:00 p.m., Leatherby Libraries librarians Doug Dechow<\/a> and Kristin Laughtin-Dunker<\/a> will be leading a series of five webinar workshops on Open Educational Resources (OER)<\/a>. This series, aimed at Chapman University faculty, will explore the pedagogical possibilities and cost-saving potential of OER, a topic that Doug and Kristin have presented on before<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This five-part series of online webinar workshops\u2014co-hosted by the Leatherby Libraries and the Institute for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (IETL)<\/a>\u2014will introduce the OER concept, show you how to identify and adopt OER for your own courses, and share a program that will pay you $50 to write a review of an OER textbook. Whether you’re not sure what OER is or you’re looking for OER for a specific class, join us. Each OER Friday Happy Hour is self-contained so that you can attend any or all sessions. Plus, there will be an additional OER session during the annual Chapman University January Conference on Teaching.<\/p>\n
