This agreement allows Chapman-affiliated authors to publish their articles Open Access in many Wiley journals at no cost to themselves.<\/p>\n<p>This agreement covers the Article Processing Charges (APCs) (i.e. Open Access publication fees) for Chapman authors whose research articles are accepted for publication in applicable Wiley journals during this pilot project.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible, articles must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be an Original Research or Review article \u2013 eligible article types are detailed in Wiley\u2019s page on <a href=\"https:\/\/scelc.libguides.com\/c.php?g=1202411&amp;p=8799349\">Article Type definitions<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Be accepted for publication in one of Wiley&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/authorservices.wiley.com\/asset\/Wiley-Journal-APCs-OnlineOpen.xlsx\">1,400+ hybrid journals<\/a> between February 1-December 31, 2022.<\/li>\n<li>Have a corresponding author affiliated with Chapman University (i.e. researcher, professor, adjunct faculty member, lecturer, graduate or undergraduate student).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To learn more about how to publish your article Open Access in a Wiley journal, please see our guide on <a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.chapman.edu\/free_OA_publishing\/wiley\">Free Open Access Publishing Opportunities for Chapman Authors<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Free Open Access guide includes instructions for any other free <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/library\/2019\/10\/21\/leatherby-libraries-celebrates-open-access-week\/\">Open Access<\/a> publishing opportunities for Chapman researchers including <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/library\/2021\/02\/02\/chapman-authors-can-now-publish-open-access-research-for-free-in-cambridge-university-press-journals\/\">our three-year deal with Cambridge University Press<\/a>, which was recently extended for an additional year through 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Please contact the Chair of Resources &amp; Scholarly Communications, <a href=\"https:\/\/chapman.libguides.com\/prf.php?account_id=120874\">Kristin Laughtin-Dunker<\/a>, at <a href=\"mailto:laughtin@chapman.edu\">laughtin@chapman.edu<\/a> with any questions.<\/p>\n<p><em>Featured Cover image courtesy of American Libraries Magazine<br \/>\n\u00a9 Copyright 1997-2018, American Library Association<br \/>\nThis document may be reprinted and distributed for non-commercial and educational purposes only, and not for resale.
