This past Wednesday on May 4th, the Leatherb

\ny Libraries hosted their annual Student Awards Ceremony, held in the Center for American War Letters Archives. Among its programming, the event featured the winners of the Kevin and Tam Ross Leatherby Libraries Undergraduate Research Prize, John and Margaret Class Student Book Collection Contest, as well as graduating and continuing Leatherby Libraries Student Employees.
\n <\/p>\n

\"021\"<\/a>
\nAmong its many students, the
\nLeatherby Libraries Student Employee of the Year<\/strong>
\n was awarded to Jeran Ulrich ’16, nominated by Library Development Coordinator, Essraa Nawar. Each of the student employees received a Certificate of Recognition, a thank you for all their hard work during the school year. Following this celebration, the undergraduate student winners received their prizes.
\n <\/p>\n

The Kevin and Tam Ross Leatherby Libraries \"079\"<\/a>Undergraduate Research Prize Award Winners<\/strong>

\n
\nEstablished in 2008 to recognize the use of library resources in pursuit of excellent research by Chapman University undergraduate students. The award is open to all enrolled full-time Chapman University undergraduate students and offers cash prizes to the first, second and third place winners.

\nEstablished by Margaret Class in memory of her husband, John, to inspire students to create their own personal libraries and book collections and to take joy in the printed book. The contest is open to all enrolled full-time Chapman University undergraduate and graduate students and offers cash prizes to the winners.

\nGraduate Student, MA in War and Society Literature Collection
\nLauren is a graduate assistant here at the library, assisting the Center for American War Letters as part of a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). Lauren also just recently took first place in Phi Alpha Theta for her paper on the Lindstadt brothers whose correspondence we hold in the CAWL Archives.
