This display was inspired by the invaluable contributions that indigenous people have made to American culture. We curated a collection of books highlighting indigenous identities and values to educate our community about the cultural heritage of Native Americans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This display includes\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><a href=\"https:\/\/chapcat.chapman.edu\/search~S1?\/cE99.C6+C495+2014\/ce++++99+c6+c495+2014\/-3%2C-1%2C0%2CE\/frameset&amp;FF=ce++++99+c6+c495+2014&amp;1%2C1%2C\">My Grandfather&#8217;s Knocking Sticks<\/a>,<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Brenda J. Child&#8217;s memoir that explores the traditions and practices of the Ojibwe communities and reveals the original and perceptive history of labor and economic survival on the Red Lake Reservation. Donna Bradley&#8217;s<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/chapcat.chapman.edu\/search~S1?\/Xnative+americans+of+san+diego+county&amp;searchscope=1&amp;SORT=D\/Xnative+americans+of+san+diego+county&amp;searchscope=1&amp;SORT=D&amp;SUBKEY=native+americans+of+san+diego+county\/1%2C3%2C3%2CB\/frameset&amp;FF=Xnative+americans+of+san+diego+county&amp;searchscope=1&amp;SORT=D&amp;1%2C1%2C\">Native Americans of San Diego County<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">which details the history of tribal groups making up the Native Americans of the San Diego County area, is also included in this display. These books offer educational insight into Native American traditions, culture, and history.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This display can be viewed on the first-floor reference desk of the Leatherby Libraries and will remain up through the end of November.
