The Library&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/library\/diversity-equity-and-inclusion.aspx\">DEI plan<\/a> emphasizes the importance of collective action in all our efforts, including partnerships, resources, exhibits, displays, events, collaborations, and other DEI initiatives.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8100\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8100\" style=\"width: 395px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2023\/09\/IMG_9359.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8100\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2023\/09\/IMG_9359.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"395\" height=\"296\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8100\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Autism Awareness Exhibit<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I am extremely excited to hear about this award, it is a perfect way to start the New Year,&#8221; notes Essraa Nawar, the Assistant Dean for Library DEI Initiatives and Development, &#8220;As I reflect on the library&#8217;s DEI efforts, I must give credit to every member of the Leatherby Libraries team. This award is living evidence of the library\u2019s continuing commitment to creating a climate that strives for inclusive excellence.
