Chapman chosen as one of OC's Ten Most Trusted Brands

In a groundbreaking survey carried out by
OC Metro
magazine and The Values Institute at DGWB Advertising and Communications, Chapman University has been chosen as one of the Top Ten Most Trusted Brands in Orange County.  The chosen ten will be saluted at an invitation-only ”Trust Summit” on Monday, April 19 here at Chapman. 

The Ten Most Trustworthy OC Brands are revealed in the April issue of
OC Metro
, available on newsstands now.  The ten are:
Disneyland, Trader Joe’s, Chapman University, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Mother’s Market and Kitchen, Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties, In-N-Out Burger, Vizio, California State University Fullerton and St. Joseph Hospital

The Orange County Trust Summit will honor these local brands that Orange County residents trust the most – and, for the first time ever, reveal the specific reasons
why
these popular products, institutions and services engender the public’s trust more than others.  In addition to saluting the ten most trustworthy brands based in Orange County, the event will enable local business leaders to learn about the tenets of public trust and meet experts in values-based marketing and social entrepreneurialism. 

The designation of the ten brands is the result of the
Most Trustworthy Brands: Orange County Edition™,
a

six-month, scientific study developed by the
Values Institute at DGWB
, an independent think tank at DGWB Advertising & Communications of Santa Ana, and implemented in partnership with Newport Beach, Calif.-based

.  The ten brands, encompassing some of Orange County’s most iconic and beloved companies and institutions, are profiled in the April 2010 issue of

Most Trusted Brands: OC Edition
used a 20-question online survey to measure five trust-related variables: concern, sincerity, identification, consistency/reliability and ability or competence.  Through statistical regression analysis, a weighted average of each brand was created, and the ten brands with the highest scores were on this list.   In addition to profiling each brand, the April 2010 OC METRO cover story reveals some of the reasons for the public trust, as gleaned through the research and post-survey interviews with company representatives.
