Actor Rainn Wilson

Comic actor Rainn Wilson, best known for playing Dwight Schrute on the hit NBC-TV series
The Office
, will speak in Memorial Hall on Monday, Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. about his Baha’i faith, his website
SoulPancake.com
, and his
New York Times
bestselling book
Soul Pancake: Chew on Life’s Big Questions.

This will not be a comedy appearance – although Wilson will likely sprinkle his usual funny comments throughout – but a discussion of the spiritual foundations of the Baha’i faith that he grew up in, left for about 10 years and returned to in his 30s.

His book, based on his wildly successful website, urges his audience to explore the bold questions and challenges of philosophy, creativity, spirituality, science and more, and, as Wilson puts it, “figure out what it means to be human.”  The appearance is presented by the Baha’is of Chapman University, and admission is free.
