At its recent Faculty Honors Convocation, the Chapman University Faculty Senate announced a new award, “The James L. Doti Award for Outstanding Graduate Student.”
“This award was established by Chapman faculty to honor Jim Doti’s commitment to student-centered learning. It is under his watch that Chapman University transitioned from a college to a university, marked by tremendous growth in graduate offerings at Chapman,” says Anuradha Prakash, Ph.D., the new Faculty Senate president.
The award will be given annually and represented by a smaller replica of the Nicholas Hernandez sculpture Emergence, displayed on campus. Each year the recipient’s name will be placed on a plaque adjacent to the replica sculpture.
Wow that’s beautiful
