Faculty Recital Showcase and major gift announcement planned for Thursday, Feb. 28

The Salmon Recital Hall in Oliphant Hall will be the setting for the Faculty Showcase Recital Thursday, Feb. 28. The evening will be highlighted by the announcement of a major gift to the the William D. Hall and Marybelle and Sebastian P. Musco Conservatory of Music.

An evening of extraordinary music highlighted by the announcement of a major gift to the William D. Hall and Marybelle and Sebastian P. Musco Conservatory of Music will be hosted Thursday, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m. in the Salmon Recital Hall.

The Faculty Showcase Recital will feature many of the conservatory’s most prominent faculty members, Robert Becker (viola), Jacob Braun (cello), Bridget Dolkas (violin), William Fitzpatrick (violin), Grace Fong (piano), Louise Thomas (piano), and Daniel Alfred Wachs (piano).  Among the pieces planned are Piano Quartet No. 1 (Fauré) and Piano Quintet No. 2 (Dvořák).

The recital will also be the setting for the announcement from President Jim Doti of a major gift from the Temianka Family to the conservatory, as well as an unveiling of a new bust.
