Make time for TEDxChapmanU June 18 and be inspired by ‘ideas worth sharing’

A scientist and a sportscaster, a toy inventor and a tornado survivor, business leaders, writers and award-winning musicians are among the scheduled presenters for TEDxChapmanU set for Wednesday, June 18, from 1 to 6 p.m. in Memorial Hall.

“Icons, Geniuses & Mavericks” is the  theme of TEDxChapmanU, launched in 2012 to bring the “ideas worth sharing” TED experience to Chapman University and showcase speakers with powerful stories of courage, passion and innovation. At TEDxChapmanU, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussions and connections. In addition, the program will include a live performance by Iryna Krechkovsky, a prize-winning violinist with an international career in solo, chamber and orchestral performances.

Featured speakers from previous years have ranged from Gwynne Shotwell, president and COO of SpaceX, (check out the video below) to filmmaker Shaun MacGillivray of MacGillivray Freeman Films.
