Jennifer Keene, Ph.D., professor and chair, Department of History, was a guest on a panel hosted by the BBC and the British Council at the Library of Congress on June 1. The discussion explored the legacy of the First World War and US isolationism.

Gary Metzger’s students in his English 418 class designed the first e-magazine format of the student-produced Prowl Magazine. For the first time the student-produced magazine is available in two online formats, the newest being the e-zine. The latest issue includes features on a variety of subjects, from life with dogs to the profound moments students experience during “Alternative Breaks” study trips. Paul Seydor, Ph.D., professor, Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, was interviewed for the podcast New Books in Film. Seydor’s book, The Authentic Death and Contentious Afterlife of Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (Northwestern UP, 2015), details the genesis and troubled life if Sam Peckinpah’s final western.

David Pincus, Ph.D., has been invited to present his paper “Experiential Balancing Therapy: An Integrative Psychotherapy and Approach Grounded in Complex Adaptive Systems Therapy” at the 25th Annual Conference for the Society for Chaos Theory in Psychology & Life Sciences. www.societyforchaostheory.org.

Jeff Tollaksen, Ph.D., professor, Schmid College of Science and Technology and director of the Institute of Quantum Studies, was featured on Morgan Freeman’s program Through the Wormhole Wednesday, June 3rd on Discovery’s Science Channel.
