Lend us your ear. We have some good stories to tell you.
But first grab your smartphone, computer tablet, laptop – or even one of those spiffy Apple iPods if yours is still kicking around. Because these stories come to you as podcasts. This week Chapman University is proud to announce a suite of new podcasts that explore compelling topics of the day.
The podcasts explore jobs, science, creativity, space and even dinosaurs, all told through the lens of Chapman alumni, students and faculty. Meet the writer behind your favorite Batman comics, the paleontologist who has us rethinking dinosaur life and a musician who mixes up his music with ceramic bowls. And that’s just to name a few.
So before you take the dog for a walk or hit the treadmill, go to iTunes to download these stories and discover the sounds of Chapman in the world. Or find them all at www.chapman.edu/podcasts.
is an extension of Chapman Magazine, which is published quarterly. Giving voice to the storytelling of
Chapman Magazine, this podcast series goes inside the lives of the inventive people, tours the fascinating places and explores the dynamic programs at Chapman University.
How Did You Get That Job?
Want to work as a scientist who reinvents the fast food taco? What does it take to write a Batman comic book? Explore those careers and more on the How Did You Get That Job? series. Here we talk with Chapman alumni whose jobs are so cool, you just have to ask “How did you get that job?”
Science On Tap
is the product of the Schmid College of Science and Technology. Hosted by Dean Andrew Lyon and recorded in front of a live audience, Science on Tap is a series of conversations held over beers with a variety of experts. Schmid faculty, as well as the occasional Orange County guest, stop by for an IPA, stout or pilsner, and discuss any number of science-based topics.
If you like what you hear, please subscribe on iTunes, share the links and tell your friends. And if you have ideas or suggestions about topics or Chapman folks we should feature, please drop us a note at PR@chapman.edu.
