Chapman students crowned Miss Orange Coast and Miss Orange County

Two Chapman University students were crowned the new Miss Orange Coast and Miss Orange County in a regional scholarship competition held Saturday, Jan. 7, at Orange Lutheran High School- Nechita Center for the Performing Arts. Business administration major Eileen Kim ’17 was crowned Miss Orange County, and broadcast journalism major Natalie Benson ’19 was crowned Miss Orange Coast.

Both women will advance to this summer’s Miss California competition.

There were other Chapman stars who excelled at the weekend event, too. First runner-up was biological sciences alumna Nicole Hornaday ’16. And Chapman alumna Connie Benson ’93 is executive director of both Miss City of Orange and Miss Orange County/Miss Orange Coast and serves on Chapman’s Alumni Board of Directors.
