Sarah Paik\u00a0– Class of 2019 Student Pharmacist is\u00a0currently in Maryland for her\u00a0APPE elective rotation with the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) which is a branch within the NIH and shares her experience.<\/p>\n

“It has been pretty exciting (and very cold)! The government shutdown did make the first few weeks a little slow, but things have picked up since the government opened up again (even though temporarily)! I’ve had opportunities to speak with a lot of different healthcare professionals with strong interests in safe medication use and communication and will even be attending a Senate hearing about healthcare costs tomorrow!”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
