The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to Chapman University alumni who are making significant contributions to businesses, organizations, and communities. Join us to celebrate our 2019 honoree and kick off the Chapman Family Homecoming Celebration on Friday, October 4<sup>th<\/sup> at 7PM at Bert C. Williams Mall. Below is Mr. Do\u2019s bio:<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Hung Do has spent the past five years developing long term strategies for member engagement to foster a better understanding of public-private partnerships of biopharmaceutical research, policy positions and issues by health science thought leaders at the American Association of Pharmaceutical\u00a0 Scientists (AAPS) &#8211;\u00a0Southern California Region. His work at the organization represents the industry to third parties, provide industry value, and lead both large and small grassroots mobilization and coalition developments. In his current position, he manages system-wide digital marketing and strategic planning initiatives to achieve and exceed monthly attendees and develop short- and long-term promotional strategies to gain annual memberships while providing overall marketing and advertising leadership, vision, and direction to grow the chapter. He also utilizes his marketing development position at the organization to raise awareness about patient safety by empowering patients to be active in their care by asking questions and raising concerns to their providers. His work at AAPS also supports working relationships and collaborates with local government officials and development consultants to provide scientific-based evidence that makes a case for a value-driven healthcare system. His goal is to improving access for patients in Southern California to receive relevant quality healthcare information. Previously, Do was a Regulatory Affairs Manager \u2013 Global Market and Technical Manager \u2013 Product Development with CH Labs, where he established three new SKU\u2019s triggering $300,000 in additional sales revenues.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his work at AAPS and CH Labs, Hung has been deeply committed to and involved in Chapman University Alumni Association. He currently sits on the Board of Directors at the School of Pharmacy where he is committed to be an industry relations board member and supports the strategic plans of the school: to broaden industry relationships for school development, research collaboration, and patient safety advocacy. Do previously served as a Vice Chairman of the Graduate Students Council, and an Executive Board Liaison of the Veterans Outreach Center and the Advocacy Committee of Chapman University. Many of his colleagues describe Do as a collaborative, proactive, self-starter who is passionate about access to innovative medicines and addressing the healthcare challenges with strategic thought leaders in the health science sector.
