href=\"http:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/research-and-institutions\/tabula-poetica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tabula Poetica,<\/a> brings together people of all backgrounds to share poetry and conversation.\u00a0 Although poetry and science aren&#8217;t usually associated with each other, one particular poet on our radar has narrowed that gap and has a surprising connection with some of the studies and work of Crean School of Health and Life Sciences.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/scst\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/64\/2013\/06\/nina-corwin.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2047 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/scst\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/64\/2013\/06\/nina-corwin.jpg\" alt=\"Nina Corwin\" width=\"206\" height=\"274\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Nina Corwin Bio\" href=\"http:\/\/voices.e-poets.net\/CorwinN\/intro.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nina Corwin<\/a> is a strong voice in Chicago&#8217;s poetry community and has published two books in poetry.\u00a0 She approaches her poems as\u00a0poetic case studies and parables of the lonely, the disaffected, the schizophrenic, the addicted, and the hardships.\u00a0 With over 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist, it is no wonder Corwin can successfully link her career in Clinical Therapy to her poetry.\u00a0 Corwin&#8217;s Poetry Talk for her scheduled visit to Chapman University later this year is titled &#8220;The Uncertainty of Maps: Chasing the Existential Voyage.&#8221;\u00a0 This presentation will include a performance of some of her poems and a discussion of concepts such as imperfection and impermanence from the vantage of existential and social
