The gift, announced at Saturday evening\u2019s American Celebration gala, will name Chapman\u2019s new health science campus in Irvine the Harry and Diane Rinker Health Science Campus. The funds will be used to support Chapman\u2019s graduate programs in health sciences housed at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/scst\/support-schmid\/upcoming-projects\/health-science-campus.aspx\">Irvine campus<\/a>, including pharmacy, physical therapy and physician assistant studies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChapman University has devoted significant attention to science and technology in recent years, and this gift from Harry and Diane Rinker will help propel Chapman into an area where we think we can make a long-term impact,\u201d said Chapman Chancellor Daniele Struppa.<\/p>\n<p>This transformational gift follows in the steps of other major announcements from Chapman in the past year dedicated to growth in health science. In 2012, the university <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/happenings\/2012\/09\/25\/university-purchases-south-county-facilities-to-house-graduate-health-sciences-programs\/\" target=\"_blank\">purchased two large research-and-development buildings<\/a> in the Irvine Spectrum area to launch its health science campus, and in 2013 added a third building to the growing campus. Chapman has also recently announced the development of a new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/school-of-pharmacy\/doctor-of-pharmacy\/index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">School of Pharmacy<\/a> and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/SCST\/crean-school-health\/academic-programs\/physician-assistant\/index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">physician\u2019s assistant program<\/a> \u2013 both of which are slated to begin admitting students in fall 2014 and which will be housed on the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/happenings\/2013\/11\/04\/15-million-gift-from-harry-and-diane-rinker-names-new-health-science-campus-in-irvine\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rinker campus<\/a>. Chapman\u2019s existing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/scst\/crean-school-health\/physical-therapy\/doctor-physical-therapy.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">physical therapy doctoral program<\/a> \u2013
