She is the only recipient of the award on the West Coast; other recipients include students from Rutgers University on the East Coast \u00a0and Michigan State University in the Midwest.\u00a0The $2000 scholarship awarded to Young is the largest of the awards.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsors of the NAFFS Scholarship Program include major industry brands such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pepsico.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pepsico<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bedoukian.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bedoukian Research<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticgums.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">TIC Gums<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The National Association of Flavors and Food-Ingredient Systems (NAFFS) is a broad-based trade association of manufacturers, processors and suppliers of fruits, flavors, syrups, stabilizers, emulsifiers, colors, sweeteners, cocoa and related food ingredients.
