Announcing a new seminar series starting in July for Schmid undergraduate students! All are welcome; no biology background required!<\/p>\n<p>This will be a once a week seminar for roughly one hour; each week a different faculty member will lead the discussion on a given area relating to the biology of SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus causing the current pandemic. There will be two divisions &#8211; one division will be open to any student who has taken Biology 208, while the second division will be open to all other students. This will enable the seminar speakers to target the seminar series to the appropriate level.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Faculty participating include Dr. Schwartz, Dr. Owens, Dr. Totonchy, Dr. Bisoffi, Dr. Rowland-Goldsmith, Dr. Hsu<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Topics Include:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Clinical development of pharmaceutical drugs<\/li>\n<li>New developments in testing for SARS-CoV-2<\/li>\n<li>Evolution of SARS-CoV-2<\/li>\n<li>And more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This seminar series is completely free and is not for credit<\/strong> &#8211; it is offered as a way to hear directly from faculty experts in biological fields relating to SARS-CoV-2.
