<\/p>\nIn high school, Margaret\u2019s mom hired a company to search for small colleges for her to attend, and they suggested applying to Chapman University. After visiting the campus, a deep love for it quickly developed, especially for Watson\u2019s in Old Towne Orange. The early part of her career was spent in the corporate world, working full-time while earning her master’s and doctorate degrees. Eventually, she transitioned into full-time teaching at the collegiate level.
\nShe serves on multiple boards, including the Makapo Aquatics Project and the Waldorf-inspired Journey School. She is also president of the South Orange County Delta Gamma Alumnae group. She has earned several awards throughout her career, including the Irvine Chamber Distinguished Educator Award, the Delta Gamma Oxford Award for community service, UMass Global Teacher of the Year, and Pepperdine\u2019s 40 Under 40 list. Additionally, she received a Certificate of Congressional Recognition from Congressman Mike Levin for running a pen pal program with his staff and former Ambassador to South Africa, Eric Bost. This work culminated in a TEDx talk Margeret delivered about the program. She also co-chairs the Together Women Rise Advocacy Group with RESULTS.<\/p>\n

Chapman played a pivotal role in her career journey, leading to her first job, where she met her husband, Mike Moodian, who now teaches at Chapman. Her involvement in Chapman\u2019s Delta Gamma sorority opened numerous doors, allowing her to serve as a speaker for chapters nationwide and volunteer at OWL Camp (Oklahomans Without Limits), a camp for blind and visually impaired children in Oklahoma. She was honored with an Outstanding Alumnus Award from the Chapman Delta Gamma chapter and served on Chapman\u2019s Alumni Board.
\nShe resides in Rancho Mission Viejo with her husband, Mike Moodian, their son, Mikey, and their dog, chinchilla and crayfish. Mike serves as chair of the Commission on Judicial Performance and sits on the Mission Hospital Board.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
