Additionally, she will be honored at the 63rd Annual WAGS Conference Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, March 22nd where she, along with other award recipients, will be recognized.<\/p>\n<p>As a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/wagsonline.org\/\">Western Association of Graduate Schools (WAGS)<\/a>, the western regional affiliate of the national <a href=\"https:\/\/cgsnet.org\/About\/\">Council of Graduate Schools (CGS)<\/a>, Chapman University has the opportunity to nominate outstanding graduate students from the university\u2019s graduate and professional programs for this recognition.<\/p>\n<p>The award is granted to the nominee who demonstrates peerless \u201coriginality, aesthetic merit, technical execution, and potential to reach beyond the original academic audience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yeboah amassed an equally impressive record of professional accomplishments during her time as a graduate student in the MFA in Creative Writing program in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/wilkinson\/index.aspx\">Wilkinson College<\/a>. Yeboah has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.narrativemagazine.com\/authors\/tryphena-l-yeboah\">four publications in the popular <i>Narrative Magazine<\/i><\/a>, been <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/wilkinson\/2020\/09\/14\/from-our-eyes\/\">showcased in the college\u2019s feature From our Eyes as an emerging female writer<\/a>, and most recently had her chapbook A Mouthful of Home, published this past fall in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.akashicbooks.com\/catalog\/new-generation-african-poets-a-chapbook-box-set-saba\/\">New-Generation African Poets series from Akashic Books<\/a>. She was also <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/wilkinson\/2021\/03\/31\/wilkinson-colleges-2021-james-l-doti-outstanding-graduate-student-award-nominee\/\">awarded The James L. Doti Outstanding Graduate Student Award<\/a>, the highest honor for graduate students at Chapman University.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Anna Leahy, Director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/wilkinson\/graduate-studies\/creative-writing-mfa.aspx\">MFA in Creative Writing program<\/a> noted that Tryphena \u201cchampions her fellow MFA students and also Ghanaian writers, both in the classroom and on social media.
