{"id":15033,"date":"2023-09-07T09:43:40","date_gmt":"2023-09-07T16:43:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogschapman.wpenginepowered.com\/wilkinson\/2023\/09\/07\/health-equity-is-focus-for-annual-engaging-the-world-series\/"},"modified":"2023-09-07T09:43:40","modified_gmt":"2023-09-07T16:43:40","slug":"health-equity-is-focus-for-annual-engaging-the-world-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/wilkinson\/2023\/09\/07\/health-equity-is-focus-for-annual-engaging-the-world-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Health Equity Is Focus for Annual Engaging the World Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/wilkinson\/about\/events\/etw-health-equity.aspx\"> 2023-24 Engaging the World<\/a> series launches this fall with keynote speaker Linda Villarosa set to visit Chapman University on Sept. 26.<\/p>\n<p>Villarosa is the author of \u201cUnder the Skin: The Hidden Toll of Racism on Health in America\u201d, which tells the story of racial health disparities in the U.S., revealing the toll racism takes on individuals and the nation\u2019s health.<\/p>\n<p>Each academic year, Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences leads a campus-wide conversation on a key societal issue, with events that include lectures, panels, book discussions, film screenings and more.
