Chapman University\u2019s Speech and Debate Team <\/a>won the most individual awards of any four-year university competing at the 2012 California Double-Up Tournament, held this month at Azusa Pacific University.<\/p>\n

Contributing to the team\u2019s overall ranking were outstanding individual achievements in several categories. In the category of After Dinner Speaking, which challenges students to write and deliver a speech meant to entertain and make a point through humor, winners included Mark Pampanin, first; Josh Nudelman, second; and Rubina Bernabe, third.<\/p>\n

In the category of Informative Speaking, a competition that showcases speeches meant to reveal new and exciting technological breakthroughs or social trends, winners included: Shelby Stanton, first; Cassidy Jensen, second; Ashley Kubiniec, third; and Valerie Swartz, fourth.<\/p>\n
