For 10 months she will be living in Spain and working as a teaching assistant at a secondary school. She will be assistant-teaching in various subjects (in English) as well as leading American studies classes and conversation groups. In addition to her ETA responsibilities, she will be doing her own independent study\/research to develop her career path.<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"Apple-style-span\"><br \/>\n&#8220;The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to \u201cincrease mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.\u201d With this goal as a starting point, the Fulbright Program has provided almost 300,000 participants\u2014chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential \u2014 with the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research, exchange ideas and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In the application process, Ms. Davis asked two of our design professors for references. Both Associate Professor <b>Claudine Jaenichen<\/b> and Adjunct Professor <b>Andrew Shalat<\/b> were more than happy to oblige.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of our own has been honored with a prestigious Fulbright award.
