In celebration of the 200th<\/sup> anniversary of the publication of Jane Austen\u2019s first novel Sense and Sensibility<\/i>, Dr. Lynda Hall, Assistant Professor of English and 19th<\/sup> Century British Literature scholar, will moderate a panel discussion of contemporary authors inspired by Jane Austen\u2019s work. Authors include: Diana Birchall, Mrs. Darcy\u2019s Dilemma<\/i>; Karen Joy Fowler, The Jane Austen Book Club;<\/i> Syrie James, The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen<\/i>; and Laurie Viera Rigler, Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict<\/i> and Rude Awakenings of a Jane Austen Addict<\/i>. Book signing and refreshments will immediately follow the panel. Sponsored by Wilkinson College of Humanities and Social Sciences and The Department of English.<\/span><\/span>
