{"id":2664,"date":"2013-03-20T12:26:13","date_gmt":"2013-03-20T19:26:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogschapman.wpenginepowered.com\/wilkinson\/2013\/03\/20\/crassh-funding-support-for-projects-with-humanitarian-andor-ethical-themes\/"},"modified":"2013-03-20T12:26:13","modified_gmt":"2013-03-20T19:26:13","slug":"crassh-funding-support-for-projects-with-humanitarian-andor-ethical-themes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/wilkinson\/2013\/03\/20\/crassh-funding-support-for-projects-with-humanitarian-andor-ethical-themes\/","title":{"rendered":"CRASsH Funding Support for Projects with Humanitarian and\/or Ethical Themes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/wilkinson\/deans-message.aspx\">Dean of Wilkinson College of Humanities and Social Sciences Patrick Fuery<\/a> announced a first call for research support through a newly formed grant, <b><em>CRASsH Funding Support for Projects with Humanitarian and\/or Ethical Themes<\/em>.<br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Funding support is available in two categories:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Individual projects (support up to $1000)<\/li>\n<li>Group projects (support up to $2,500)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Funding can be used for travel, research assistants, equipment, conference attendance.<\/p>\n<p>The project must demonstrate a direct connection to themes driven by humanitarian and\/or ethical issues. Successful applicants will need to produce a short (500 words) report within 1 month of completion\u00a0 of the funded activity.<\/p>\n<p>Priority will be given to projects that demonstrate a capacity to secure additional funding (for example, grant applications) for the project. The application should include the following:<\/p>\n<p>Name(s) of applicant(s) and the CRASsH group<br \/>\nTitle of Project<br \/>\nShort description of the Project (300 \u2013 500 words) including outcomes, time frame, and connections to the grant theme<br \/>\nHow the funds will be used (short budget description)<br \/>\nPlans for future funding (for example, grants to be applied for)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Submissions should reach <a href=\"mailto:shalvers@chapman.edu\">Shannon Halverson<\/a> by 5 p.m. April 12<\/strong><sup><strong>, 2013.<\/strong><br
